A Rebekah surprise party
Given Mrs. Thos. Vine in Honor of her 50th Birthday
Mrs. Thomas Vine was half a century old last Friday and to celebrate the event, a load of her Rebekah friends rode out to her home east of town and gave her a good natured surprise. About thirty of her friends and neighbors were present and a most enjoyable time was had.
Following is a list of the presents given as a token of esteem and with the desire that fifty years more may be added to Mrs. Vine's Sojourn:
Set of cups, saucers and plates - Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rossman, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zetsche, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Williams and Mrs. Will Hogue.
Fruit dish - Mrs. Ed. Vine.
Pickle dish - Mrs. Mariam Harlow.
Tooth pick holder - O. C. Fricke.
Book - Albert Stabnaw.
Silk handkerchief - Mr. and Mrs. Andy Anderson.
Card stand - Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Steenberg.
Set of tumblers - Alice Vine.
