Spatz, Darlene Jean (Marriage - 3 Mar. 1962)

Miss Darlene Jean Spatz, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Spatz of Mosinee, Route 2, and Robert Charles Apfelbeck, son of Carl Apfelbeck of Colby, Route 1, were united in marriage at a 9:00 A.M. wedding ceremony in St. Mark’s Catholic church at Rothschild, Saturday, March 3rd. Rev. Angelo Comoretto officiated at the services.

The satin bridal gown had embroidered lace panels over net, the embroidered lace bodice having a scoop neckline. Her fingertip veil was secured to a seed pearl crown and her flowers were shaped as a heart and included white carnations and red Garnet roses.

Her aides, Mrs. Helen Leu of Abbotsford, as matron of honor, and Miss Jean Spatz of Mosinee, the bridesmaid, wore net over taffeta with shirred bodices and scoop necklines. Mrs. Leu’s dress being white and Miss Spatz’s was blue. Complementing their attire were bow clip headbands. Each attendant carried an arrangement of white carnations and chrysanthemums.

Susan Spatz, the flower girl, was dressed like the bride and also carried a floral arrangement like hers. Kenneth Spatz was the ring bearer.

Raymond Apfelbeck of Abbotsford was best man and Ronald Spatz of Mosinee was the groomsman.

The wedding reception, dinner and dance were held at the Trianon Ballroom and the luncheon was served at the Skylight Club at Athens.

Out-of-town guests were from Abbotsford, Colby, Wausau, Hales Corners and Mosinee.

The newlyweds are residing on Route 2, Mosinee.
