Roberts, Levi (15 June 1882 - 3 July 1951)
Levi Roberts, age 69, of 268 S Hewett Street, died at the local hospital on Tuesday morning after an illness of three days. Funeral services were conducted on Friday at two o’clock from the Georgas Funeral Home with the Rev. Alfred Schewe officiating. Burial was made in the West Spencer Cemetery.
Mr. Roberts was born at Hartford, Wis., on June 15, 1882, to George and Cynthia A. Nickels Roberts. He came with his parents to the Town of Sherman when he was a young lad. He worked on farms and in the woods logging and for seven years was employed on the John Epding farm. The past three years he has resided on S Hewett Street.
He has been a resident of Clark County for 50 years and was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Doll Frence of Eau Claire, and a brother, Charles Roberts of Detroit, Mich. His parents and two sisters preceded him in death.
Pallbearers were Edward DeMert, Frank Fasbender, Gust Holtz, Tom Winters, Otto Catlin and Frank Garman.
Floral offerings were in charge of Mrs. Otto Catlin, Mrs. John Epding and Miss Bertha Georgas.
