Audrey M. Maddox, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Wilksman of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and Ahti J. Maki, son of Mrs. Mary Maki of Ekol, were united in marriage Sunday, Aug. 28, 1949, at 2 o’clock at the home of the groom’s sister, Mr. and Mrs. tony Tratnik Jr., 10 Onyx in Kemmerer, Wyoming. The double ring ceremony was performed before an improvised altar formed by a window. On the altar were two vases of garden flowers.

The bride was lovely in a green gabardine suit with brown accessories. Her only jewelry was a strand of pearls. She wore a corsage of pink rosebuds.

Matron of honor was Mrs. John Maki, who wore a green afternoon dress with black accessories. Her corsage was of talisman roses.

Attending the groom as best man was John Maki.

The bride’s mother wore a grey afternoon dress with white accessories and the groom’s mother was dressed in a navy blue afternoon dress with black accessories. They both wore identical corsages of pin and white carnations.

The bride’s sister, Miss Shirley M. Wilksman of Owen, wore a brown suit and gold accessories and her escort was Ronald Maki, Elkal.

Immediately after the ceremony a reception was held with the immediate families and close friends attending.

A buffet luncheon was served. The refreshment table, covered with white linen cloth, was centered with a two tiered cake topped with a miniature bride and groom centered in a hear. Vases of garden flowers carried out the appointments. After the reception the young couple left on a honeymoon trip to various point in Utah. Upon returning they will make their home in Kemmerer.

Mrs. Maki is a graduate of the Owen High School. Mr. Maki graduated from Kemmerer High School following which he attended the Curtiss Wright aeronautical Technical School in Glendale, Calif. He then served two years in the Navy and after his release attended the U. S. A. C. at Logan for two years. He recently accepted a position with the state of Wyoming as deputy game warden stationed in Lincoln County.
