Uhlig, Gorman (10 July 1918 - 5 Aug. 1941)

Gorman Norman Uhlig died Tuesday morning of peritonitis at the St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where he was taken Saturday following an attack of appendicitis.

The body is being brought to the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gust Uhlig, this afternoon. Funeral services will be conducted there at one o’clock, Friday afternoon, and at two o’clock in the Norwegian Lutheran Church at Curtiss. Internment will be made in Pine Hill Cemetery. Rev. G. Borreson will conduct the services.

The pallbearers will be: William Beil, John Doberstein, Emil Daellenbach, Oscar Koerner, Walter Lueck and Arnold Lindau.

Gorman Uhlig was born July 10, 1918, in the Town of Mayville. He attended school at Curtiss after which he assisted his parents on the farm. On July 29, 1939 he was married to Miss Julia Pompatis of Longwood at Green Grove.

Mr. and Mrs. Uhlig have been assisting William Beil on his farm near Dorchester until the time he was taken suddenly ill.

He leaves to mourn him his widow, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gust Uhlig and four brothers, William of Colby, George and Alvin of Abbotsford and Emil of Dorchester, Wis.
