Ebbe, George (12 June 1895 - 16 July 1951)

George Ebbe, age 56, died at his home on S. Court Street early Monday morning. Death was due to a heart attack.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. from the Bergemann Funeral Home. Burial will be made in the Neillsville City Cemetery with the Rev. Virgil Nulton officiating.

Mr. Ebbe was born on June 12, 1895, in the Town of York. He moved with his parents to Neillsville shortly after his birth. He received his education in the public schools here. He served as corporal in World War I in France and Germany. After he was discharged, he was employed in the city.

He was married to Pearl Osborne on August 22, 1917, in the Town of Mead. Eight children were born to this union, four of whom survive. Besides his wife, he is survived by the following children, Calvin Ebbe of California, Pauline, James, and Betty all at home, also two grandchildren.

One brother and one sister preceded him in death.
