Colby - May 10, 1962

A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Stuttgen at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital May 2.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schmelzer have moved from Colby, Route 2, to Merrill, Route 2.

Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Sabler left for Tomahawk where they will spend the summer months.

Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Kriplean, who spent the winter months in Florida, returned to their home in Colby, Wis.

Mrs. C. J. Bane had the misfortune to break her hand in two places when she fell.

Frederick Schwierske of Mt. Horeb and two oldest sons spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schwierske.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Van Dreel spent the week-end with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William Waldhart and family at Appleton.

Mrs. Gertrude Estrumse, who spent the winter months in Marietta, Georgia, with her son and daughter-in-law, returned to her home in Colby, Wis.

Mrs. Wm. Wepfer, formerly of Colby, Wisconsin, who had been residing with a daughter in Marshfield, left for Decatur where she will stay with another daughter, Mrs. Delbert Klepsig, for several months.

Mrs. Edna C. Waldhart and son, Buzzie, spent the week-end with the former’s son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Waldhart and family, and other relatives. Mrs. George Tesmer accompanied them and visited her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Art Tesmer and family at Appleton and her grand daughter and family at Kaukauna.

To the editor: Two weeks ago it was published David Mueller, an eighth grade pupil at Graded School also received a 1st in his solo at Pittsville and that his name had been omitted. Only the firsts in Class A solos were published. David’s, not being a class A solo, was omitted as the other firsts in class B and class C solos.

Mrs. Anthony L. Schemmer is in Milwaukee today where she is attending a meeting of the Governor’s Keep Wisconsin Clean and Beautiful Committee. Mrs. Schemmer is chairman of Ninth District. The committee will be the guests of the Pabst Blue Ribbon Hall for the morning meeting and luncheon, and guests of Western Builder Magazine for the Braves-Pittsburgh ball game in the afternoon.
