Miss Donna Marie Allmann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Allmann of Colby, and William Jeske, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Jeske of Marshfield, exchanged marriage vows at a 10:30 A.M. nuptial high mass in St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby Saturday morning, May 19, Rev. John B. Pinion officiating at the marriage ceremony. The school choir sang with Sister Louis Ana at the organ. Baskets of gladioli adorned the church altar as Miss Allmann was given in marriage by her father.
The bride was attired in a gown of white Chantilly lace, featured a very bouffant skirt with chapel train of pleated tulle and a scalloped Sabrina neckline with sequin trim and nylon pleated yoke. Her fingertip veil was held by a crown of seed pearls and aurora borealis. Her bouquet was fashioned of red roses and white carnations with streamers of rosebuds.
Miss Nancy Allmann of Colby, maid of honor, wore a floor-length dress of pink nylon sheer, fitted bodice of Alencon lace, scalloped neckline and wide cummerbund with low back, matching headpiece lace veil. Her bouquet consisted of pink and white carnations. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Joan Schmitt of Wausau and Mrs. Patricia Kilty of Colby, Wis. Their dresses were similar to that of the maid of honor in blue and yellow, respectively. Their bouquets consisted of carnations.
Robert Jeske of Marshfield was the best man and Linus Schmitt of Wausau and Richard Kilty of Colby were groomsmen. Russell Allmann of Colby and Larry Jeske of Curtiss ushered.
A brunch and supper were served in St. Mary’s School and a reception was held in the city hall. A dance was held at the Sportsmen’s Park at Colby, Wis.
The bride and groom are graduates of the Colby High School with the class of 1957, the groom also graduating in 1961 from Northland College at Ashland where he was affiliated with the Phi Sigma Epsilon fraternity. At present he is teaching at the Bayfield High School in Bayfield.
The newlyweds will make their home at Colby after returning from a honeymoon through northern Wisconsin.
Out-of-town guests were from Fond du Lac, Marshfield, Medford, Unity, Spencer, Abbotsford, Bend, Oregon, and Salem, Oregon.
