coal mines one day this past week.
Mrs. H. Neuman had the misfortune to
step on a nail and at present is nursing a sore foot.
Mr. H. Thompson has
been on the sick list the past week, having had the La Grippe and tonsillitis.
Mrs. Thompson has been working in the post office during his absence.

Thompson families.

Mr. A.
Gartland had rather an exciting time last Sunday and Monday trying to get back
to his school duties. He started back with his car and got within about 20 miles

had plenty of trouble, he reached Stevens Point, abandoned his car and finished
the remainder of his trip by rail. Mrs. Campbell met him at Owen Monday a.m.
