Ackerman, Anita (28 MAR 1944)
Miss Anita Ackerman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ackerman, Curtiss, and Pvt. J.T. Bucy, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Bucy of Springville, Tenn., were united in marriage in Chicago at five o’clock, March 28.
The bride wore a tan suit with light brown accessories and a corsage of pink carnations. She was attended by her girl friend, Miss Ann Kilian, who wore a powder blue suit with navy blue accessories and a corsage of white gardenias.
Lt. Rueben Burtard, uncle of the bride, of Camp Sibert, Ala., was the groom’s attendant. After spending a 25 day furlough visiting friends and relatives in Chicago and Tennessee, Pvt. Bucy will return to California. He is stationed at Fort Winfield Scott in the coast artillery. Mrs. Bucy will continue at her present war job, as she has been doing.
