Wagner, Patricia A. (27 NOV 1949)

Word has been received here of the marriage of Eugene Johnson, a former Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) resident, and now of Oregon, Ill., on Nov. 27th, 1949, to Miss Patricia Ann Wagner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wagner, Oregon, Ill. The ceremony was performed at two o’clock in the First Christian Church, Mount Morris, Ill., by Rev. Willis Thomas, who officiated at the double ring ceremony.

The bride’s white satin gown had a sweetheart neckline with a full skirt, gathered to a long fitted bodice and a veil of illusion that was caught to a headdress of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of red roses. She was attended by her sister, Dorothy Franklin, as maid of honor, who wore an orchid taffeta gown. Her headdress was a band of yellow chrysanthemums and she also carried an arm bouquet of chrysanthemums.

The bridegroom was attended by Gerald Peterson of Clinton, Wis.

The bride is a graduate of Mount Morris High School at Mount Morris, Ill.

The bridegroom will be remembered here as he attend high school for three years, being an outstanding student, prom king in his junior year and a fine basketball player. The last year of his schooling, his parents Mr. and Mrs. Harold E. Johnson, moved to a farm near Colby, with the result being that he was graduated from the Colby High School. At present he is associated with his father in the bakery business at Oregon.

Among those from here that attended the ceremony were: Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hodd and family of Abbotsford and Mrs. Harris Johnson and son of Owen.
