Mrs. Herman Schwantes was dismissed from the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital where she underwent surgery.

Joe Brill of Ft. Lewis, Wash., is spending a two-week furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Brill.

Jean Hilber of Minneapolis, Minn., spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo F. Hilber.

Miss Janice Wiersig returned to Chicago, Ill., after spending a week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wiersig.

Miss Sandra Loos is spending the summer months at St. Croix Falls as a counselor at a camp for handicapped children.

Mr. and Mrs. Norman Kobs and the Misses Edna and Selma Kobs spent the week-end with relatives in Oconomowoc.

Russ Meyer, who had been a surgical patient at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital, is back on the job again at the Colby State Bank.

Mrs. Anthony L. Schemmer attended a board meeting of the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women at Viroqua Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Michael Stieber spent several days in La Crosse where Mr. Stieber attended the state postmasters’ convention.

Mr. and Mrs. Tony Switlick and children of Omro, Wis., were week-end guests at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Johnson.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Reeves of Mancelona, Mich., are spending several weeks at the home of the latter’s mother, Mrs. Hugo Frome, and are visiting other relatives and friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Case and three children of Fort Townsend, Wash., spent the past week with relatives in Dorchester and friends in Colby, Wis. Mr. Case is a former Colby citizen.

Mr. and Mrs. Mathias Allar, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Frane and son, Dennis, Mrs. Clement Apfelbeck and Mrs. Donald Frane attended the funeral services for Mrs. Victor Frane in Wittenburg June 9.

Mr. and Mrs. David Ellis of Prentice have moved into one of the lower apartments of the former A. H. Fults office and living rooms on Highway 13. Mr. Ellis is employed by Felker’s at Abbotsford, Wis.
