Hoffman, De Etta (27 Apr. 1882 - 18 June 1962)

Mrs. De Etta Hoffman of Abbotsford, Wisconsin, age 80, died at about 11:00 A.M. Monday in the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital where she had been a patient since Friday morning. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. today, Thursday, at the First Presbyterian church, Rev. Douglas Oyan, pastor of the First Presbyterian church in Marshfield officiating, and internment will be made in the Abbotsford cemetery.

De Etta Hibbard was born on April 27, 1882, in Portage county. She received her education in Stevens Point and taught school in Ogema and Spirit Falls. She married Charles W. Hoffman on November 10, 1902, in Knowlton. The couple moved to Abbotsford in 1912. Her husband died in 1957. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church, the Eastern Star Chapter of Abbotsford, the Royal Neighbors of America and served as a trustee of the cemetery committee.

Her only survivor is a brother, Earl Hibbard of Knowlton. In addition to her husband, a son preceded her in death.
