Wegner, Albert J. (8 August 1891 - 8 August 1951)
Albert J. Wegner, age 60, died at his home in Pine Valley at 1 o’clock a.m. (on his birthday) August 8. The body lay in state at the Georgas Funeral Home until Saturday when services were conducted from the American Lutheran Church of Pine Valley. Interment was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery with the Rev. Leonard Domke officiating.
Mr. Wegner was born on August 8, 1891 in the Town of Pine Valley to Fred and Minnie Waldo Wegner. He spent his entire life on the farm where he was born. He was a member of the American Lutheran Church and served as director of the church for 30 years. He was married to Hulda Dux on May 7, 1919 at Neillsville.
He is survived by his wife, three sisters, Mrs. Clyde (Clara) Raine, Mrs. Everett (Anna) Raine, and Mrs. Arthur (Helen) Haugen and two brothers, Robert and Ben all of Neillsville.
Pallbearers were Arthur Dux, Albert dux, Anton Karnitz, Ervin Karnitz, Walter Durst and Walter Pollnow. Floral offerings were in charge of Mesdames Arthur Dux, Albert Dux, Anton Krantz, Ervin Karnitz, Walter Durst and Walter Pollnow.

Those from out of town who attended the funeral of Albert J. Wegner of the Town of Pine Valley on Saturday, August 11, were Mrs. John Miller, John Miller, Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Miller and family all from Glidden; Herman Haugen, Baraboo; Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Haugen, Madison; Mrs. Earl Reese, Stoughton; and Mr. and Mrs. Reinhardt Zimmerman and son, Richard, all from Humbird; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dux and Mrs. Irving Dux from Loyal. (The list of pallbearers and those in charge of floral offerings was in duplicate of the above of August 16)
