Reinhardt, Geraldine M. (Marriage - 18 August 1951)
Miss Geraldine M. Reinhardt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Jacks, of Hauser, Ore., became the bride of Wilmer E. Lueck, son for Mrs. Elsie Lueck of Greenwood at a ceremony performed at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Christie on August 18. The double ring ceremony was performed at two o’clock by the Rev. Walter Schaedler.
The bride was attired in a gown of sheer material over satin. It as fashioned with a fitted bodice, pointed lace on the yoke and around the long train. Her veil of illusion lace fell from a crown of pearls and rhinestones. She carried a shower bouquet of red roses and white feathered carnations.
Gwen Stigen of Neillsville, a friend of the bride, as maid of honor wore a floor length yellow sheer gown styled with a ruffle around the yoke and hips. Bernita Swieso of Monroe and Mrs. Wallace Erickson, sisters of the groom, served as bridesmaids. They wore orchid and aqua gowns respectively styled the same as the maid of honor. They carried colonial bouquets of yellow roses and orchid swansonia with streamers to match their gowns.
DeWayne Carl of Greenwood, a cousin of the groom, served as best man with Vernard Swieso and Wallace Erickson as groomsmen. Alfred Boon and Ervin Buker acted as ushers.
Prior to the ceremony Mrs. Donald Schultz sang two selections accompanied by Miss Verna Schaefer as the Organist.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Legion Hall for 75 guests. The place was decorated with orchid, yellow, white and aqua streamers.
Following a wedding trip in the Western states the young couple will reside on the groom’s farm at Greenwood.
The bride attended Neillsville High School and has been employed at the Roddis Lumber Company for the past two years.
Guests from out of town attending the wedding include persons from Monroe, Wabasso, Minn., Milwaukee, Eau Claire, Loyal, Greenwood and Marshfield.
