Wesneski, Joyce M. (4 FEB 1950)
A lovely church ceremony was performed at the First Congregational Church, Owen, at two o’clock, Saturday afternoon, when Miss Joyce Mary Ann Wesneski repeated the marriage vows with Joseph John Ackerman. The nuptial ceremony was read by the Rev. W. Myron Glick.
Attending the couple were Carol Jean Wesneski, maid of honor, and bridesmaid Anna Mae Wesneski; best man, Orlando Ackerman and groomsman, Arvid Lindgren.
For the occasion the bride chose a blue-grey tailored suit and a blue hat. Her maid of honor wore a sand color suit, with a pink hat, while the bridesmaid’s was of light grey and wore an aqua shade hat. The bride carried a bouquet of American Beauty roses and white carnations, while her attendants bouquets were of pink and white carnations.
At five o’clock that afternoon a dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents. The home was beautifully decorated with streamers of pink, white and blue crepe paper. A two-tier wedding cake topped with a miniature bride and groom denoting the bridal party’s table.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Wesneski, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and was graduated from the Owen High School with the class of 1949. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ackerman, Sr., Curtiss. Farming has been his occupation before and since the time he left to served one year in the United States Army.
The couple is now enjoying a week’s trip to Milwaukee and Chicago.
Guests at the wedding from away were: Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hendrickson and daughters, Delores and Ardith of Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Witte and son and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Newman and son of Unity; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ackerman, Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bucy and sons, Curtiss; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Komis and son, Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. George Ackerman and Mrs. John Burtard of Curtiss and Rev. and Mrs. Glick and family of Owen.
