Reams, George William (22 January 1879 - 9 September 1951)
George William Reams, age 72, of Neillsville died at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield on Sunday, September 9, at 10:30 p.m.
Funeral Services were conducted on Wednesday from the Georgas Funeral Home and at 9 o’clock from St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The Rev. Father John J. Novak officiated. A Rosary service was conducted on Monday evening at the Georgas Funeral Home. Interment was made in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Mr. Reams was born January 22, 1879, in Charles City, Ia., to George and Phoebe Sherman Reams. He received his education in Iowa. On August 24, 1909, he was married to Carolyn Nauertz at Waucoma, Ia. In 1918 they moved to Clark County where he farmed in the Town of York for some time. IN later years he retired from farming and was a livestock buyer until the time of his illness.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Cecil and Merle Reams, of Neillsville, one daughter, Mrs. John (Eva) Mulroyan of Maywood, Ill., two sisters, Mrs. Rose Crocker of Milwaukee and Mrs. Phoebe Pearson of Kansas City, Mo.
One brother and two sisters preceded him in death.
