WOOD ALCOHOL CAUSES DEATH
Another Dunn County (Wis.) veteran of the Civil War, Samuel L. Lindsley (Lindsay), died at his home in the Town of Spring Brook, at 11:45 o’clock Friday morning. His death was the result of drinking a pint of wood alcohol, presumably by mistake.
Mr. Lindsley was discovered by his son shortly after taking the fluid, and a doctor was hastily summoned, but could do nothing to save him and he died ten hours later.
The deceased was an old resident of Spring Brook and about sixty years old. He was the father of Henry Lindsley, the wrestler. The body was shipped to Loyal, Wis. Saturday afternoon for burial beside the body of his wife who died some years ago.
