Last week Mr. and Mrs. Steve Plautz were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Plautz in Greenwood and in the evening they helped Susan Plautz celebrate her 15th birthday. The evening was spent socially along with a lunch and birthday cake.

Nick Lesar of Palmyra spent some time here with relatives.

John Govek is home from National Guard duty, where he spent several weeks.

Ronald Volovsek of Eau Claire spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse Volovsek and family.

Thursday night the Rev. Michael Mertens and Mrs. Frank Govek attended the deanery meeting at St. Anthony’s Church in Loyal.

Miss Mary Govek of Eau Claire spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Govek and family.

Last Monday night Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Walker celebrated their birthdays, both on the same day, at their home in Neillsville. The following were present: Mr. and Mrs. Vicor Halbrader and family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Boyer, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schoengarth, Mr and Mrs. Arthur Ampe, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Walker of Osseo.

Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse Volovsek were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Govek last Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Kippe of McHenry, Ill., were guests last weekend of Mr. and Mrs. John Verschay.

Miss Frances Lesar is spending some time in Fridley, Minn., at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Erickson and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Ruzic of Marshfield spent Wednesday night with Mr. and Mrs. John Verschay.
