Bruss, Elmer A. #2 (29 SEP 1926 - 25 FEB 2009)
Elmer A. Bruss, 82, Spencer, Wisconsin, died on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at the Clark County Health Care Center. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Feb. 28, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer. Interment was held at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
Elmer A. Bruss was born on Sept. 29, 1926, in Spencer, to August and Frances (nee Manthe) Bruss. He attended Harding school in the town of Brighton. He worked his whole life as a dairy farmer. He married Cylinda Schwantes on May 28, 1949, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer. He enjoyed dancing, bowling, playing cards and watching horse-pull competitions. He was a former member of the Spencer Lions Club, the Chelsea Conservation Club, and the rural fire department.
Survivors include his wife, Cylinda; two sons, Gregory (Tammy) Bruss, Antigo, and Bradford (Joan) Bruss, Spencer; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Florence (Leonard) Jasinski, Racine, and Marcia (William) Denk, Greenwood.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one sister, Valda; and one infant brother, Lawrence.
A memorial in his name will be created at a later date.
