Allar, Amelia (19 May 1884 - 28 Aug. 1962)
Mrs. Amelia Allar of Colby passed away at 4:00 A.M. Tuesday morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, at the age of 78 years. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 in St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby, Wis., Rev. John B. Pinion officiating, and internment will be made in St. Mary’s cemetery. The body will repose in the Lulloff Funeral Home beginning this Thursday evening.
The Christian Mother’s Rosary will be said this Thursday evening at 8:00 P.M. and a general rosary Friday evening at 8:30 P.M.
The former Amelia Hainzlsperger was born in Germany on May 19, 1884, and came to this country at the age of six years with her parents who settled in the Lomira area. The family moved onto a farm in the town of Hull, Marathon county, in 1900. After her marriage to John Allar in 1901, in St. Mary’s church, Colby, the couple settled on a farm in the town of Colby, Clark county. This was her home until her death. Mr. Allar died in 1954.
Surviving are three sons, Frank Allar of Spencer, George Allar of Colby and Joe Allar of Fond du Lac; eight grand children; 17 great grand children; six sisters, Mrs. George (Lena) Sterzinger of Colby; Mrs. Lawrence (Theresa) Wall of Rockford, Ill., Mrs. William (Lucy) Krueger of Milwaukee, Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Riarsach of Milwaukee, Mrs. Henry (Bertha) Koenigs of Milwaukee; three brothers, Otto Hainzlsperger of Neillsville and John and Felix Hainzlsperger of Colby, Wis.

Funeral services for Mrs. Amelia Allar were held in St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby Saturday morning, Rev. John B. Pinion officiating, and internment was made in St. Mary’s cemetery. Pall bearers were Arthur Sterzinger, Frank Sterzinger, Jack Allar, Ray Allar, Joe Hainzlsperger and Ray Hainzlsperger.
Out of town relatives here for the services were Mrs. Lucy Krueger, Mrs. Alvin Kern, Mrs. Bertha Koenig, Mr. and Mrs. William Krueger and family, Herbert Krueger, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Birsack, Elmer Birsack, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Allar, Mrs. Ed Noh and son, Miss Sharon Hayt, Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Schammel, Mrs. Bernard Jabes of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Wild and family of Nekoosa, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Thompson of Rockford, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Richard Allar of Racine, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Hainzslperger of Neillsville, Mrs. Louise Gressinger, David Allar and Mrs. Garlan Gressinger of Marshfield, Jack Allar of Wausau, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Allar of Medford, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Blazel of Dorchester, Mr. and Mrs. Verlyn Stallfus and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Allar of Fond du Lac, Miss Delores Jicinsky of Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. Emil Karan of California, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Allar, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Ehrenstrone and family and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Jicinsky of Spencer, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Allar and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jicinsky of Unity, Wis.
