Dietsche, Margaret (8 Sept. 1849 - 16 Dec. 1941)
A rosary service for Mrs. Margaret Dietsche who died Tuesday morning at the home of her son, Fred, will be held at 7:30 this evening at the home. Funeral services will be conducted Friday morning at nine o’clock at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church and internment will be made in the Catholic cemetery at Loyal. Six of her grandsons will act as pallbearers.
Mrs. Dietsche was born Margaret Riplinger, Sept. 8, 1849 in Beadingham, Germany. She came to the United States with her parents, March 31, 1867 and lived with them on a farm in Manitowoc county until her marriage to Benjamin Dietsche on November 25, 1873.
On November 21, 1877 they moved to a farm southwest of Spencer where she lived until five years ago when she came to make her home with her son, Fred.
Mrs. Dietsche has been in ill health the past three years and seriously ill since the middle of July. Death came, Tuesday morning, at 9:30 as the result of age complications. She had attained the age of 92 years, 3 months and 8 days.
During her life she was an active member of the Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers Society.
Surviving her are her three sons, Fred of Abbotsford, Benjamin of Riplinger, Frank of Spencer; and two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Ann) Davel of Loyal and Mrs. Mary Brill, Colby, Wis. There are 43 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren. One sister, Mrs. Anna Hanson, Portland, Oregon, also survives.
Her husband preceded her in death eleven years ago and two sons, Francis who died in infancy and John who died three years ago.

Internment of the body of Mrs. Margaret Dietsche was made in the Catholic cemetery at Loyal after the nine o’clock requiem high mass in St. Bernard’s Church, Abbotsford, Friday morning. The Rev. C. D. Brady officiated at both places.
The pallbearers were six grandsons of the deceased: Frederick Dietsche, Jr., Ladysmith, Felix Dietsche, Owen, Wallace and Alphonse Dietsche, Spencer, Alex Davel, Marshfield and Bernard Davel, Loyal.
Three granddaughters: the Misses Bernice Dietsche, Margaret and Francis Brill; and Miss Marie Fecker carried the floral sprays.
Among the relatives from away who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Ben Dietsche, Riplinger; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Davel and son, William, Mrs. Bernard Davel, Mr. and Mrs. George Weyhmiller, Loyal; Frank Dietsche, Mrs. Neoma Kayhart, Spencer; Mrs. Mary Brill, children, Billy and Frances, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zassenhauf and son, Francis, Angus Lamont, Colby; Mrs. Cora Dietsche, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hoff, Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Davel, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. William Schoch and children, Miss Florence Dietsche, Stevens Point; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dietsche and daughter, Karen, Ladysmith; Mr. and Mrs. Felix Dietsche, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Dietsche and family, Milan; Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Dietsche, Chippewa Falls; Vincent Dietsche, Camp Bowie, Texas.
Among friends from away were: Mr. and Mrs. Ed Stevens, Mr. and Mrs. Chancey Stevens, Mrs. Lowell Schultz, Mrs. Hattie Stevens, and James Griffith, Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Brill, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Smith, Thorp; Mr. and Mrs. James Colby and son, Bert, Unity; and Mrs. Nellie Driscoll and children, Cornelius and daughter, Isabelle, Owen.
