Untiedt, John T. (23 Dec. 1874 - 17 Sept. 1962)
John T. Untiedt of Curtiss, Route 1, died of complications Monday at 5:45 P.M. at the Leahy Nursing Home in Abbotsford at the age of 87 years. Funeral services are being held this Thursday morning in St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby, Wis., Rev. John B. Pinion officiating, and internment will be made in the church cemetery.
Mr. Untiedt was born on December 23, 1874, in Davenport, Iowa, where he was married in April, 1900, to Mrs. Katherine Reinhart Bartell. In 1913, they came to the town of Green Grove where they settled on a farm. Mrs. Untiedt died in September, 1921.
Surviving are three sons, Emil and Harry of Curtiss and Lawrence of Milwaukee; a daughter, Miss Viola Untiedt of Chicago, Ill., a step son, Frank Bartell of Cincinnati, Ohio, two step daughters, Mrs. Margaret Honor of Milwaukee and Mrs. Leona Ohlinger of Abbotsford; 21 grand children, 23 great grand children; two brothers, Emil Untiedt of Abbotsford and Otto Untiedt of Davenport, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Mildred Brocker of Chippewa Falls.

Funeral services were conducted in St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby Thursday, Sept. 20, for John T. Untiedt of Curtiss, Route 1, age 87. Rev. John B. Pinion officiated and internment was made in the church cemetery. Attending the services were Miss Viola Untiedt and Mr. and Mrs. Barry Dorazio and family of Chicago, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. John Untiedt, Jr., of Springfield, Va., Mrs. Margaret Harner, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Harber, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Untiedt and family, Harry Untiedt and Miss Joan Untiedt of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Reinhart of Greenwood and other friends and relatives from Curtiss, Colby, Abbotsford and the surrounding area.
Pall bearers were John, Harry, Jerome, Charles and Emil Untiedt, Jr., and Alvin Harner.
