Riese, Sophie (19 Sept. 1886 - 27 Dec. 1962)

Mrs. Sophie Riese of Unity, Route 1, died last week Thursday at 10:40 P.M. at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at Zion Lutheran church in Colby, Wis., Rev. Wm. R. Christian officiating, and internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.

The former Sophie Busch was born in Marathon City and was married to Herman Riese in 1917 in Brodhead. She had lived in rural Unity the past 20 years and was a member of the Zion Lutheran church in Colby, Wis.

Survivors are two sons, Charles and Leonard of Unity; a daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Pearl) Beightal of Juda; 15 grand children; a great grand child; two brothers, John Busche of Stratford and Fred Busche of Northern Wisconsin.

Her husband, two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
