Mrs. Harlowe Hibbard underwent surgery at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital.
A son was born January 26 to Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Gustafson of Colby, Route 1, at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital.
A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Dale Schmidt of Burlington January 23. Dale is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Garry Schmidt.
Mr. and Mrs. James Lyons and children, who had been visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Steinwand, for several months, left for Burbank, Calif., where they will make their future home.
Constance Weix, a sophomore nursing student at Marquette University in Milwaukee, will be capped in a special ceremony in the Nursing College chapel on Sunday, Feb. 3. Constance is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. F. A. Weix of Colby, Wis.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Smith and two children, ages two and three, moved to Colby from Milwaukee and are living in the Ladwig house across from the grade school. Mr. Smith is employed at the Sebold Chevrolet at Abbotsford as a mechanic.
John Tesmer of Colby will be among the 46 members of the Carroll College choir when the choir will present two morning song service in Westminster Presbyterian church, Peoria, Ill., Sunday, Feb. 3, under the direction of Dr. Cardon V. Burnham.
Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Sossaman and children of Hales Corners spent last week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Sossaman, and brothers, Darrell and family at Abbotsford and Ralph at Spencer. While here, they attended the funeral of her brother, Walter Schultz.
