Private Brown is Serving in Army in Hawaii

Serving with the armed forces in Hawaii is Pvt. Richard Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brown. He is the first Abbotsford boy from the selective service draft to be sent there on duty since the outbreak of the war. Master Sgt. Harvey Garbrecht is also in Hawaii but has been there some time.

In a letter to his parents, Pvt. Brown tells of the beauties of Hawaii scenery after a calm and uneventful trip. Acres and acres of luscious pineapples also please this Abbotsford soldier.
