Tech Sgt. Raymond Carlson returned to Maryland, Wednesday after a brief furlough here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Carlson.
Raymond Carlson has been in the army since last September when he enlisted. When he was called in October, he was sent to the Aberdeen Proving Grounds at Aberdeen, Maryland, where he was part of the 538th Ordnance Co. Last Friday he was graduated from this course and received the rank of technical sergeant.
