Byron Leichtnam, who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gorman Leichtnam, left last Oct. 12 for Fort Sheridan, from where he was transferred to Fort Riley in Kansas. He has been promoted to corporal.
During the holidays he was transferred to Fort Barrancas, Fla., where he is a cook in the army.
