Keesler Field, Miss. - Pvt. Wayne A. Shookman is the latest soldier-student from Abbotsford to receive his diploma as an expert airplane mechanic from Keesler Field’s B-24 Liberator Bomber school - a unit of the Army Air Forces Technical Training Command which is now graduating a new class of mechanics every day.
Private Shookman, the son of Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Shookman, is now ready for active line duty, servicing and maintaining the huge Liberators for long distance bombing forays against the Axis.
