Gierl, Helen Elizabeth (Marriage - 10 July 1943)
Miss Helen Elizabeth Gierl, daughter of Mrs. Laura Gierl of Abbotsford, and Robert Herbert Weideman, also of Abbotsford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Weideman of Dorchester, were united in marriage Saturday evening, at 8:30. The Rev. Francis Brockman read the double ring ceremony in St. Bernard’s rectory.
Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Morris Gierl, brother and sister in law of the bride.
For her wedding the bride wore a street dress of forest green faille, simply ornamented by a gold cross and chain and a shoulder corsage of American Beauty roses. She carried a rosary.
Mrs. Gierl’s dress was a light rose faille. She also wore a gold cross and chain and had a corsage of Talisman roses.
The young couple are at home on a farm three and one-half miles northwest of Abbotsford, Wis.
