Berg, Mary (Marriage - 17 July 1943)
On Saturday, July 17, Miss Mary Berg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. ? Berg, of Iron Mountain, Mich., and Lt. Truman Johnston, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Johnston, of Newton, ?, formerly of Abbotsford, were united in marriage in the Gesu church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The nuptial mass held at 8:00 o’clock in the morning.
The bride wore a two-piece white ? suit and a large, white, linen hat. She carried a white prayer book. Attending her was her sister, Miss Shirley Anne Berg, who wore a brown and white ensemble and white linen hat, trimmed in brown. She wore a wrist corsage of yellow roses and white iris.
Attending the groom was Walter ? of Brooklyn, N.Y., who attends Marquette dental school.
Following a wedding breakfast at the Hotel Pfister, the couple left for Rockford, Ill.
Lt. Johnston, who is the grandson of Mrs. G. B. Johnston, was graduated from the Abbotsford high school and attended Dental College at Marquette University, from where he received his degree last February. He entered the military service and is now stationed at Rockford, Ill.
Mrs. Johnston attended business school in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
