Eckes, Helen (7 May 1895 - 2 Aug. 1943)
Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Eckes, 48, who died at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, Monday night, were held Thursday morning, at 2:00 o’clock at St. John’s Catholic church, Marshfield. The Rev. Arthur Heindl officiated and internment was made in Hillside cemetery.
Mrs. Eckes was born Helen McLane at Christie, in Clark county, May 7, 1895. For a period of almost three years, Mrs. Eckes was employed here at the 13 and 29 club. Last March she went to St. Joseph’s hospital for treatment intending to return to her work here as soon as she was able.
A complication of ailments caused her death, Monday night.
She is survived by her husband, Louis Eckes, of Marshfield, two sons, Cyril and Gene, both of Marshfield, and a daughter, Mrs. A. F. (Mae) Melbinger, Milwaukee, and five grand children.
Five brothers and three sisters also survive.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Toelle, of Abbotsford, attended the funeral services at Marshfield.
