Kelsey, George Mrs. (8 Nov. 1896 - 1 Sept. 1943)

Funeral services for Mrs. George Kelsey, who died at her home, ? night, were held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 at Lulloff Funeral Home at Colby and at 2:00 o’clock at the Presbyterian church with the Rev. G. E. Griffiths officiating.

Pall bearers were Walter Fults, Charles Hoffman, L. K. Neitzel, Orrin Berry, Dr. A. J. Rilling and R. H. Treat.

The ladies in charge of the flowers were Mrs. Arthur Leichtnam, Mrs. Earl Prochnow, Miss Margery Thompson and Miss Anna Marie Hasson.

? Amelia Robersen was born at Camp Douglas on Nov. 8, 1896. At the age of 14, she moved with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nels Roberson, to ?. She was graduated from Tomah high school and Teachers’ Training Course in 1916, after which she taught in the graded schools of Wyville. From 1918 to Aug. 1920, she was employed by the Chicago, Northwestern railroad in Wyville.

On Aug. 19, 1920, she was married to George Kelsey at La Crosse. Shortly after their marriage they came to Abbotsford where they have since made their home.

After an illness of several months, she passed away at her home on Sept. 1. Her death was caused from a carcinomic condition.

She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Betty, senior at the University of Wisconsin; Doris, student nurse at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn., one son, Jack with the United States navy, Norfolk, Va.; her father, Nels Robersen, Tomah; six sisters, Mrs. Hannah Baker, Rochester, Wis., Mrs. Charles Cady, Camp Douglas; Mrs. Delbert Ipswich, S. Dak.; Emilia Robersen, Cairo, Ill.; Caroline Robersen, Camp Douglas; Mrs. Carl Lindner, La Grange, Ill., three brothers, Anton, Janesville; Alfred, St. Paul; and Ted, United States Navy, Aleutian Islands. Her ? and two sisters preceded her in death.

Services conducted by the Rev. ? were held on Monday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Ninne? Funeral Home at Tomah, for ? and relatives. Besides the members of the family, Mr. and Mrs. ? Treat, Mrs. L. K. Neitzel and ? Jean, of Abbotsford attended.

Her cousins served as pallbearers. Two cousins and two nieces carried the many beautiful floral tributes.

Internment was made at Oak Grove cemetery, Tomah, seven years after her mother. All the sisters and brothers except Ted, attended services at Tomah.
