Broeske, Dorothy Lucille (Marriage - 4 Dec. 1943)

After a wedding trip to Portage and ? in southern Wisconsin, Mr. and Mrs. Armen Greunke are now at home to friends at Marshfield.

Miss Dorothy Lucille Broeske, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Broeske, of Dorchester, and Armen Greunke, of Marshfield, son of Mr. and Mrs. ? Greunke of Auburndale, were united in marriage in St. Peter’s Lutheran church at Dorchester, on Saturday, Dec. 4. The Rev. J. Brandt performed the double ring ceremony at ? o’clock.

For her wedding the bride wore a ? trimmed white satin gown with a long train. The entrained veil with lace inserts and the short veil which she wore over her face until after the ceremony, were fastened to a floral head dress. She carried a white bouquet of chrysanthemums and pompons.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was Miss Metty McCabe, of Marshfield, in a frock of blue satin. Her bridesmaid in pink satin was Miss ? Greunke of Madison. They wore ? head dresses to match and corsages of white carnations and red roses.

Richard Greunke, Jr., was best man for his brother and Elroy Broeske, brother of the bride, was usher.

Following the ceremony, supper was served to 35 guests at the home of the bride’s parents. A three tier wedding cake formed the center piece of the bridal table. Blue and pink streamers were used in the home decorations.

The bride, who is a graduate of the Abbotsford high school, class of 1941, is employed in Marshfield by the Central Cheese Co. The groom is employed at the Chevrolet garage.
