Hamblin, Pearl (5 May 1883 - 30 Nov. 1943)
Word has been received of the death of Miss Pearl Hamblin, of Muskegon Heights, Mich., on Nov. 30.
Miss Hamblin formerly lived in Abbotsford and taught in the grade school here.
Pearl Hamblin was born May 5, 1883 at Muskegon Heights. After her graduation from high school there in 1900 she took teachers’ training at Stevens Point and Oshkosh.
She taught for many years and in 1925 resigned from that work. When Sacred Heart school opened in 1940 at Muskegon she served as substitute teacher and later as a regular teacher.
About the middle of November, Miss Hamblin fell while at Sacred Heart school and fractured an ankle. Pneumonia developed and she died at Mercy hospital, Nov. 30, at the age of 60 years.
Surviving are two brothers, William S. Hamblin, Downers Grove, Ill., and Thomas M. Hamblin, Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.
