Clark County

The annual sub-district camp meeting at York Center, opened on Monday of this week. Presideing Elder Davis has charge of the meeting. There will undoubtedly be a very large attendance.

Neillsville Republican: Hally, the 11-year-old son of John Richardson, of Christie, had an operation performed on him Friday, where about four quarts of pus was removed from the pluresy cavity near his right lung. About eight weeks ago he was taken sick with typhoid fever which later developed into pluresy, and later a tumor formed near his lung.

Several lumber piles belonging to G. N. Hollister, of Chili, were discovered on fire recently, about three o'clock in the morning. The fire was quickly put out before much damage was done. There is no doubt that the fire was set. The tracks of the bug were followed as far as Granton.

H. Sternitzky, of Lynn, had two fine shade trees by his well Saturday evening but Sunday morning he found they had been knocked into smithereens by lightening during the storm.

John Zimmer, of the town of Reeseberg, and Mrs. Schultz, of Thorp, were married last week. The groom is 62 years of age and the bride 50.

A new iron bridge is being put in at Lynn. Another bridge will be out in one mile south of Lynn also three in the town of York.

V. H. Horton and Miss Jennie Belle Rowe, both ptominent young people of the town of York, were married on the 4th inst.

Charles, the 14-year-old son of G. A. Butler, of the town of Mead, died last Thursday morning of inflamation of the bowels.

The Modern Woodmen of Clark and Chippewa counties will hold their second annual reunion at Stanley on the 16th inst.

Rollo Bucker, a sawyer in the heading mill at Granton, had a finger badly cut last week by getting it against a saw.

Willie Burmeister, a young Colby lad, broke his colar bone recently while playing football.

F. J. Sheldon, postmaster at Longwood, had been granted a pension of $8 per month.

The Spencer kids last week defeated the Loyal kids, at base ball, by the score of 22 to 9.

W. B. McPherson, of Veefkind, has been granted an increase of pension.

Wm. Schultz, residing about a mile north of Loyal, is dead.

The dog poisoner is abroad in Neillsville.
