Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Clyde Mayfield, at Madison, last Thursday. The Mayfields were residents of Abbotsford until almost four years ago when Mr. Mayfield sold his barber shop and the family moved to Madison.
Mrs. Mayfield had been suffering with rheumatic fever and was a patient at Wisconsin General hospital for months.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, both of them in the service. Donald was able to attend the funeral but Lyle is overseas.

Mrs. C. S. Mayfield Mrs. Clyde S. Mayfield, 43, of 212 W. Gorham St., died Thursday at a hospital after a long illness. Born at Leeds, she lived in Abbptsford several years before coming to Madison three and a half years ago.
Mrs. Mayfield leaves her husband, two sons, Sgt. Donald Mayfield , Orlando, Fla., and Pfc. Lisle Mayfield, France; three sisters, Mrs. Clara McChesney, Mrs. Mamie Hussoy, and Mrs. Robert Sullivan, Madison, and her mother, Mrs. Lena Severson, Madison. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p. m. in the Frautschi funeral home. The . Rev. Henry Geiger, pastor of Zion Lutheran church of Leeds, will officiate and burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery.
