Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Fink, 67, who died on Saturday, were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 at the Zink Funeral Home and at 2:00 o’clock at Christ Lutheran church. The Rev. Carl Luedtke, Whittelsey, in the absence of the Rev. John Brandt, conducted the services.

The Lutheran Ladies’ Aid of which Mrs. Fink had been an active member, sang at the services at the funeral home and the children’s choir sang at the church.

Internment was made in the Abbotsford cemetery.

The pallbearers were Alex Thede, Edmud Thede, Charles Woempner, George Reil, Frank Schultz and John Hoge.

The flowers were carried by Raland Stowe, Maynard Kauffman, Phillis Fink, Martha and Carl Raatz, all grand children of Mrs. Fink, and Harlan and Jean Laack and La Von Doberstein.

Mrs. Bertha Fink was born April 24, 1878 in the town of Holton, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christ Prange. On March 21, 1897, she was married to Carl Fink. To them were born 11 children, six of whom survive their parents.

Mr. and Mrs. Fink lived on a farm northwest of Curtiss for a year and in 1898 they moved to Fifield where Mr. Fink was a section foreman. In 1900 they moved back to the farm near Curtiss and about 1913 moved to their farm three miles west of Abbotsford where they lived until 1926 when they came to the village. Here Mr. Fink died on March 10, 1933.

Mrs. Fink remained in the village and made many friends through her hard work and kindness. She left for Milwaukee where she was employed almost a year. Because of ill health she had been here at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Louis Kauffman, the past three and one-half months. For the past two weeks she was in bed and died, Saturday evening, June 30, at 8:05, from cancer.

Surviving her are six children, all of whom attended the funeral: Chris Fink, Racine; Mrs. Louis (Dorothy) Kauffman, Abbotsford; Mrs. Forrest (Helen) Stowe, Minneapolis; Mrs. Robert (Sarah) Raatz, Racine; Sgt. Gilbert Fink, of the United States Army, and Mrs. Carl (Goldine) Kretschmer, of Lake Beulah.

Her husband and the following five children preceded her in death, John in 1898, Irvin, 1922; Hattie, 1907; Martha, 1918; and Laura, 1927.

There are 23 grand children; one great grand child; four sisters, Mrs. William Hintz, town of Holton; Mrs. Charles Baumgart, Fifield; Mrs. Chris Daellenbach, Siren; and Mrs. Mary Strebe, Goodrich; and three brothers, Reinhold Prange, Ogilvie, Minn.; Chris Prange, Goodrich, and Herman Prange, Anamoose, North Dakota.
