Kelsey, Betty (Marriage - 31 Aug. 1945)
Miss Betty Kelsey, daughter of George H. Kelsey, became the bride of Cpl. Harlo J. La Fond, son of Leslie Youngquist, of Madison, on Friday, Aug. 31, in the First Presbyterian church at Dubuque, Ia. The Rev. G. M. Cauchman read the double ring service at 1:00 o’clock.
The bride wore a street frock of blue wool with fuchsia and her attendant, Mrs. Ernest Hrabko, wore a frock of fuchsia wool with black accessories. Both wore shoulder corsages of white gladioli.
The best man was Pvt. Hrabko, also of Madison.
Following their marriage, Cpl. and Mrs. La Fond came to Abbotsford, returning on Sunday to Madison where they will make their home.
The bride is a graduate of the Abbotsford high school and the University of Wisconsin.
Cpl. La Fond of the Army Air Corps Medical division, has recently been sent to Mather Field, Sacramento.
