Mrs. Walter Wohlleben of
Thorp was hostess for the Sunshine Club on Tuesday evening.
Mr. and Mrs.
John Kaczor of Redville spent Sunday with Mrs. Louis Kaczor and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pagel and daughter Paula of Elk Mound visited at Louis Pagel
Sr., Sunday afternoon, and also called at Mr. and Mrs. Steve Danieliewicz.
Mr. and Mrs. Chester Johnson of Thorp visited relatives in Marine-on-St.
Croix, Minnesota on Tuesday.
Social club met with Miss Luverne
Fenstermacher on Saturday afternoon. The following attended: Mr. and Mrs. E. D.
Johnson of Stanley, Mrs. Frances Kulwiec of Lublin, Mrs. Mae Vangroder of
Greenwood, Mrs. Hollis Decker and son Darrell, Mrs. Maude Kulwiec, Mrs. Arthur
Bobb, Mrs. Walter Bohn, Mrs. Louis Kaczor and Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Roesler. A
delicious supper was served after the meeting.

Go to the card party at St. Bernard’s, 8 p.m. February 13th. The men at St.
Bernard’s go all out to make this a special night of enjoyment “Yes sir! Yes
Ma’am!”
Mr. and Mrs. Chester Johnson of Thorp made a business trip to
Wausau on Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Pagel Sr., Miss Mary Page, Mr. and
Mrs. Lyle Stelter and family of Stanley, and Mrs. Louis Kaczor and family helped
Mrs. Wm. Dudansky celebrate her birthday on last Tuesday evening.
Mr. and
Mrs. John Pagel of Owen called at Louis Pagel Sr., Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs.
Erwin Geisler and son Ardin, of Greenwood, visited at the Alex Soeller home in
Thorp on Monday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Anhaldt of Cato, Wisc., and
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lenberger of Reedsville, Wisc., were Saturday evening guests
at the Joseph Benzschawel home.
Mrs. Herman Skaleski and family of Myron,
Minnesota came for the funeral of the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wilczek.
Also, she visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Lukasiewicz.
Mrs. Mary
Greer of Thorp called on Mrs. Frank Stewart of Thorp on Saturday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Zawacki spent Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Johnson and
family at Marshfield and got acquainted with their grandchild.
Mrs.
Theron Pagel and sons visited Friday afternoon at Louis Pagel Sr.
Bert
Hubbard, Roger Warner and Mrs. Frank Stewart of Thorp were dinner guests on
Sunday at the Dean Hubbard home in Thorp and helped Jerry and Scott celebrate
their birthdays.
Mr. and Mrs. Glen Gilbertson and family spent the
weekend in Barron with Mrs. Marie Peterson.
Mrs. Louis Pagel visited
Thursday afternoon at Mrs. M. Zaborowski.
Mrs. Jeanette Bogumill and Mrs.
Kate Van Loo of Thorp attended the funeral of Mr. Sylvester Vanderloop in
Stanley on Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Dick Plansky visited their daughter Paula
at Rhinelander on Sunday; on the way home they visited at the William Bottrell
home at Merrill.
Master Edward Panek, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Panek,
and Miss Julianne Zukowski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Zukowski, reigned as
king and queen of the annual Mardi Gras at St. Hedwig’s School on Sunday.
Rev. Robert Olson of Thorp attended the pastor’s study club at St. Matthew’s
Church in Eau Claire on Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Burkhardt and family
spent the weekend at Minneapolis at the home of their daughter, Mr. and Mrs.
Louis Schumacher and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Haas and family, Mr.
and Mrs. Frank Ciolokosz were Sunday supper guests at Wilfred Haas.
Mr.
and Mrs. Jarl Scheibe and children of Marshfield were visitors at the Arthur
Jacques home in Thorp on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. James Danielewicz of Mount
Horeb spent the weekend at their parental homes.
Mr. and Mrs. Rudy
Ciolkosz and family of Chippewa Falls visited at the Frank Ciolkosz home Friday
evening.
Bernard and Harold Hoks of Manasha visited at the Arthur Jacques
home in Thorp on Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Val Wyczawski and sons Richard and
Walt visited on Saturday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wyczawski
at Stanley.
Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Cook of Thorp visited Mrs. Henry Huls of
Thorp on Monday.
Miss Luverne Fenstermacher, Mrs. Brandsness, Mrs. Walter
Bohn and Maude Kulwiec were Chippewa Falls shoppers on Monday.
Mrs.
Eunice Jacques, Mrs. Henry Huls and Mr. and Mrs. William Jacques and daughter
Kim, visited at the Leonard Larson home in Stanley on Sunday evening.
Mr.
and Mrs. Joe Penk, Mrs. Stella Zukowski, Mrs. Frank Gostomski and Mrs. Anna
Meske were visitors at the Ig Przybylski home on Tuesday evening.
Mr. and
Mrs. Edmund Cook and Mrs. Henry Huls of Thorp visited at the Jess Winkler home
in Cadott on Wednesday.
Walt Wyczawski of Milwaukee spent the weekend at
the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Val Wyczawski.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis
Pagel Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pagel and daughter Paula of Elk Mound were
Sunday afternoon visitors at the Steve Danielwicz home. Mrs. Chester Danielwicz
and daughter Linda were evening callers.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ciolkosz
visited with Mr. and Mrs. Louis Ciolkosz Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Jacques
and Mrs. Dwayne Jacques of Milwaukee, Mrs. Matilda Brown of Cedarburg, and Mr.
and Mrs. Wilfred Vanderloop and daughter Brenda of Fredonia were weekend guests
at the Arthur Jacques home in Thorp. They also attended the funeral of Mr. S. M.
Vanderloop in Stanley on Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Hansen and family of
Marshfield were Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bohn.
Sunday, Jan. 30th, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Pszenicny witnessed the christening of
their son David Scott at St. Hedwig’s church. The sponsors were Mr. and Mrs.
Walter Wrolstad of Withee.
