Cornwell, Carroll C. (7 April 1894 - 22 November 1951)
Carroll C. Cornwell, 57, who died on Thanksgiving Day at the Veterans Hospital at Waukesha, was buried at the Eagle River Cemetery on Monday afternoon, November 26.
Mr. Cornwell, who formerly resided in Neillsville and whose mother, Mrs. Kate Cornwell, is a frequent guest at the Mrs. Laura Counsell home, served in the First World War. He was born in Neillsville on April 7, 1894.
He was a member of the Masonic order, the American Legion, Eagle River Gun Club, and the North Central Wisconsin Kennel club. He was a barber at Eagle River for over 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, Jean; his mother, Mrs. Kate Cornwell; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Cattanach of Owen and Mrs. Emil Luther of Tomahawk; and two brothers, M/Sgt. Harold Cornwell, who is stationed in England, and Rollie Cornwell, Palm Springs, Calif.
