Freezy, Maureen Carol (Marriage - 8 December 1951)
Miss Maureen Carol Freezy, daughter of Mrs. Erna Freezy, became the bride of Walter R. Wirkuty, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Wirkuty, on Saturday, December 8. Vows were repeated before thirty relatives and friends. The Rev. L. J. Chapman officiated at the 8 o’clock, candlelight service at the home of the bride. The home was artistically decorated with white and blue streamers, white wedding bells and cut flowers.
The bride was attired in a gray suit with green accessories. Her corsage was of Cream-white roses.
Miss Devonne Hanby, her maid of honor, wore a wine suit with black Accessories and a corsage of white roses and yellow mums. The groom was attended by his brother, Leland Wirkuty of Racine.
The wedding reception was held at the bride’s home following the ceremony and a wedding dance and shower was held at the Legion Hall in the evening.
Following a honeymoon in Racine and Chicago, the young couple will be at home on the groom’s farm on R. 4.
