Korman, Mary A. (16 February 1857 - 7 December 1951)
Mrs. Mary A. Korman, age 94, of West Fifth Street died at the Claude Ayers home on December 7, at 10:15 p.m.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday at two o’clock from the Georgas Funeral Home. Carmi Chapter No. 60 of the Order of Eastern Star participated in the services. Ray N. Knutsen, a Christian Scientist, was the reader. Interment was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Korman, nee Mary Cigrand, was born on February 16, 1857 at Waubeka, Ozaukee County to Nicolas and Susan Schmidt Cigrand. She received her education in the schools there and learned the millinery trade in Chicago where she was employed for several years.
On May 11, 1880 she was married to Herman Korman at Port Washington. They moved to Neillsville in 1881 and Mr. Korman started the first foundry here with W. W. Toplin. Later he became a partner in the Barton - Wolff - Korman Wagon Factory. He died in 1922. Mrs. Korman lived with her daughter, Mrs. Susie Thoma, until four years ago when they moved to the Claude Ayers home.
Mrs. Korman is survived by the following children, Mrs. Susie Thoma, Neillsville, Mrs. Anna Jessup, Los Angeles, Calif.; Bernard Korman, Taylor, Tex.; Henry Korman, Longview, Wash.; Mrs. Calla Burley, St. Louis, Mo.; William Korman, St. Louis, Mo.; and Jake Korman, Minneapolis, Minn. and 13 grandchildren (missing words).

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday at two p.m. at the Georgas Funeral Home for Mrs. Mary Korman. R. S. Knutsen, first reader of the church of Christ Scientist, and Mrs. Agnes Matheson, Worthy Matron of the Carmi Chapter Number 60, of the Order of the Eastern Star, officiated at the services. Interment was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Shirley Lezotte and Mrs. John Kleckner sang two selections, accompanied by Mrs. M. E. Bennett.
Floral offerings were in charge of Mrs. Emer Robinson, Mrs. Al Sollberger, Mrs. Dale Seif, and Mrs. Glen Robinson.
Pallbearers were Dr. J. H. Brooks, William Campman, Arthur Haugen, Oscar Foote, Charles Poole and G. C. Deutsch.
Persons from out of town attending the rites included: Bernard Korman, Taylor, Tex., Henry Korman, Longview, Wash., Mrs. Cal Burley and William Korman, St. Louis, Mo., Jake Korman and Mary Korman O’Brien, Jean Korman Geyer and Robert Korman of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Garbisch of Eagle River, Fred Frank, Mrs. William Bealer and Mrs. Bertha Meisner of Granton.
