THORP - Services for Carl Slowiak, 67, Thorp, who died Friday at Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley, were Monday at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Thorp.
The Rev. John Puerner officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Thorp Funeral Home, Thorp, handled arrangements.
He was born Jan. 27, 1924, in Stanley, to Theodore and Mary Slowiak. He married Marion Oberle June 14, 1949, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church.
He farmed in the Stanley area until 1956. At that time, he moved to the town of Withee, rural Thorp, and farmed there until 1986. He then became a resident of the city of Thorp.
He was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife; four sons, Carl of Menomonie, Daniel of Thorp, Gerald of Stanley and Ted of Prescott; four daughters, Mary *** Note: The remainder of this article was missing.
