*** Note: The beginning of this article was cut off and was not available at the time of transcription.  John James "Jack" Galvin is buried in the Hillside Cemetery, Marshfield, Wood Co., Wisconsin.

He was born Aug. 6, 1906, in the town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County, to John and Hattie Galvin. He married Margaret Burleigh June 2, 1931, in Warren County, Pa.

He farmed in the Junction City area for several years. He then worked for Lloyd L. Felker Co. in Marshfield for 15 years. In 1957, he started his own truck and implement business in Abbotsford, Wis. He moved to Abbotsford in 1959, where he worked at the company he founded, Galvin Truck and Equipment, now Northwest International Truck, Galvin Tractor Co., and Enterprise Leasing until his illness in January. He had been admitted to the Living Center Jan. 13.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, serving as elder for many years. He was a 32nd degree Mason, affiliated with the Masonic Lodge, No. 224, Marshfield, of which he had served as Master, and a member of Zor Shrine, Madison.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Patrick, of Abbotsford; two daughters, Mrs. Matthew (Joan) Pinion of Baraboo and Mrs. Lloyd (Burleigh) Anderson of Elk River, Minn.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by two sisters, two brothers and one stepbrother.

Memorials may be given in his name to the First Presbyterian Church.
