In a nuptial ceremony performed at two o’clock, Saturday, May 27th, 1950, at the Methodist Church, Greenwood, Miss Violet Tieman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Tieman, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), exchanged vows with Charles Hoeper, Withee. The Rev. Lee Holmes was the officiating clergyman.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was gowned in an entrained lace-trimmed dress of white satin. Her fingertip veil fell from a crown of seed pearls and she carried a bouquet of pink roses and white camellias.
Miss Lila Tieman, Milwaukee, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Miss Lorraine Goth, Sevens Point, and Jean Wessel, Greenwood, cousin of the bride, and Mrs. Francis Hoeper, Withee, sister-in-law of the groom, bridesmaids, wore organdy formals of green, orchid, blue respectively. All wore wide brimmed hats to match their gown, and carried bouquets of white carnations.
Constance Ingham, Beloit, cousin of the bride, served as flower girl. She wore a white gown with a wide brim hat to match her gown and carried a basket of sweet peas. Jerry Hoeper, cousin of the groom, filled the role of ring bearer.
Frank Hoeper, Withee, brother of the groom, was the best man. Other attendants of the groom were Phillip and Claude Hoeper, Withee, brothers of the groom, and Donald Tieman, brother of the bride.
Robert Tieman, brother of the bride and August Hoeper, uncle of the groom, ushered for the ceremony.
The mothers of the couple wore print dresses highlighted with corsages of red roses.
A dinner for about 90 guests was served in the church basement, following the ceremony.
The couple enjoyed their honeymoon at a resort in northern Wisconsin.
