Samek, Julia (14 OCT 1950)
Miss Julia Mary Samek, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sigmund Lentz of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of David A. Blume, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig Blume, Owen, in a brief ceremony performed Saturday morning, Oct. 14, 1950, in Holy Rosary Church, Owen, with the Rev. Raymond Bornbach officiating.
Attending the couple were Miss Ingeberg Kiessling, Chicago, Ill., Miss Fern Buchholz, Owen, James Riley and Tony Pietrzen, Owen.
The bride’s gown of white velvet was fashioned with a net yoke offsetting the drop shoulder of the bodice, a full ballerina length skirt. Her short tulle veil was fastened to a headband of tulle and orange blossoms. She carried a cascade bouquet of yellow mums centered with two purple orchids.
Both bridal attendants wore gowns in emerald green fashioned in colonial style and carried bouquets of chrysanthemums and pompoms.
A reception and dinner were held at the home of the bride’s parents with immediate relatives and friends attending.
The groom is employed by the Will Implement Co., Owen. After a short wedding trip through northern Wisconsin they will reside in Withee.
