Mrs. Jennie Hegg of Chippewa Falls is visiting with friends here.
There is quite an excitement in the neighborhood west of here, over the beating of a young boy by his step-father. The parents are Hungarians, and the boy has "skipped."
Solon Peterson has sold his handsome farm west of here and purchased 120 acres of wild land near Browns Lake.
Sam Fiory, wife and Jessie Deutsch of Stanley, were guest at W. H. Bowie's farm residence Sunday.
G. W. Bailey is assisting H. Banderob, the Thorp harness maker, for a few days.
Henry Baxter and Geo. Clark have gone to Westboro to work in a lath mill.
The Central Co. are about to raise their bridge across the river here some 9 feet with corresponding fills at each approach.
