Enroute to the southern states are Gene Stigen and his bride, the former Patricia Kolodzig, who were marriage, Saturday, April 14, 1951. The Rev. Joseph A. Walejewski read the double ring nuptials at 10 o’clock in St. Hedwig’s Chapel, Thorp.
Given in marriage by her father, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kolozig, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), wore a gown of white lily of the valley marquisette over rayon. A pear studded tiara held her fingertip veil, and she carried a bouquet of white carnations.
As bridesmaid, Miss Irene Burzinski, Thorp, wore a gown of blue marquisette, styled with a lace top. Pink carnations formed her bouquet.
The bride’s brother, Edwin, attended the bridegroom. A 12 noon reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents. The bride’s mother wore a navy blue and gold dress, and the bridegroom’s mother selected a black print dress.
Mr. and Mrs. Stigen will live in Withee when they return from their wedding trip. Mr. Stigen is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stigen.
