Schade, Bernard (13 May 1882 - 6 May 1946)
Funeral services for Bernard Schade, 63 years old, who died at his home in Colby, Monday morning, at 11:30 after an illness of several months, will be held Saturday at 1:30 at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby and at 2:00 o’clock at the Lutheran church.
Mr. Schade was born May 13, 1882, in Germany and came to Dorchester with his parents at the age of one He was married to Mary Zahorka at Dorchester in 1908 and farmed for 30 years. He then operated a feed store at Milan until July, 1945, when he moved to Colby, Wis.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Henry Brandt and Mrs. George Krepsky of Colby; three sons, Everett and Harold of Milwaukee; and Elroy Schade in the Army at Maryland; two grand children. He has three brothers, Emil of Amherst; Richard of Abbotsford, and Robert of Red Wing, Minn., and three sisters, Mrs. Mita Simon, of California; Mrs. Alma Empey, of Waukesha; and Mrs. Clara Schondelmair, Park Falls.
